This month, children in class Ukg practiced Hindi for Gudi Padwa. It was a pleasure to see them dressed up in colourful clothes. They recited the Gujarati poem ગુજરાત ઓ ૨ । which is about some of the festivals that are celebrated in India. It was nice to see their pride for this different culture and language come through with ease! For homework, children have been instructed to research another one of the many Indian festivals besides Ganesh Chaturthi which will be celebrated on September 18th. We have been reviewing colours, Shapes, The Hindi alphabet and numbers in the Hindi language. They have also been practicing their handwriting in Hindi.
